Everything AskBruxy can do
Not a wish list: everything here works in production code. Where a feature depends on the plan, we note which plan it is available from.
The widget on your website
One-line embed
A single script line in your page source, no build step and no dependencies — also in WordPress, Shopify or Google Tag Manager. About 56 kB compressed, loads asynchronously and identifies by domain: there is no API key in the code.
Doesn’t interfere with your site
It runs in Shadow DOM, so your styles don’t break it and it doesn’t break yours. It only appears on the website set for the chatbot (and its www pair).
Your own branding
Colours derived from your brand colour, your own logo, light, dark or automatic mode, and a header title and greeting per language. From the Start plan.
Position and size
Bottom right or bottom left. Visitors can switch between a small and a large panel, and the browser remembers their choice.
Designed for mobile
A full-screen panel on small screens, respecting the notch and the home indicator.
Full-page AI search
Next to or instead of the bubble: a central, search-like interface on a subpage, in a block or in a window opened by a button, with the same knowledge, source links and product cards. From the Pro plan; live demo: askbruxy.com/en/demo.
Privacy policy link
The widget footer links to your own privacy policy, set separately per language — visitors can see how their data is handled right from the chat.
Hide “Powered by”
The AskBruxy credit does not appear in the widget footer. From the Business plan. It is also available with any plan as an add-on: No “Powered by” label, HUF 7,900 + VAT / chatbot / month.
Switch it on and off
Take the widget off your website with one switch per chatbot, and put it back the same way: the embed code can stay, and the settings, knowledge base and conversations are kept.
In Hungarian, English and German
The widget’s labels are available in Hungarian, English and German and follow your website’s language; the bot replies in the language the visitor last wrote in.
The conversation
Source links
Answers show the titles and links of the pages actually used, so the visitor can check them in one click. When the bot cannot answer, it shows no source.
Suggested questions
The question suggestions set for the chatbot appear as clickable chips above the input until the visitor asks something. You can ask for AI suggestions in the customer portal.
Questionnaire in the chat
When the bot would ask several things at once, they appear as a short form: free-text and choice fields, required ones marked with an asterisk. The visitor can also answer in the chat instead.
Resumable conversation
A returning visitor continues within 24 hours where they left off, with timestamps and earlier product cards. For a clean slate they can clear the conversation with the header button.
Live answers
The answer appears as it is written, with “Searching…” and “Typing…” indicators; answers can contain lists, emphasis and links.
Proactive bubble
Addresses the visitor on its own, on a timer or on exit intent — once per visitor, then not again for weeks. From the Pro plan.
Answer quality
Only from your own content
The bot can only answer from the text it gets from your knowledge base; weak matches never reach the language model, and when nothing relevant is found the bot says it has no information on this.
Prices and links are never invented
On product cards the price, the link and the image always come from the catalogue, not from the language model.
Precise search for names and numbers too
Besides searching by meaning, it also searches by keyword with word-stem matching (Hungarian, English and German) and expands the question with base forms and synonyms (“Who’s the boss?” → “managing director”): a name, phone number, product code or technology is found even in the middle of a long page, or when the visitor phrases it differently.
Understands follow-ups
For follow-ups like “and how much is it?”, it takes the earlier conversation into account when searching.
Sources in the visitor’s language
On a bilingual site the bot picks sources in the language of the question when that is clear (an English question gets the English subpage), otherwise in the language of the page being visited: a Hungarian question does not bring up the English subpage. If nothing matches in that language, it looks at the other pages too.
Tuned for Hungarian
Natural Hungarian wording, not literal translation; it doesn’t invent needs and doesn’t repeat itself.
Setup
Four chatbot templates
General customer service, knowledge-based problem solving, webshop (product recommendations without pressure) and lead qualifying (gently steers towards getting in touch at the end of the conversation).
Optimise with AI
After a few questions, the assistant suggests the tone, greeting and other settings based on your knowledge base — you choose what to apply (from a monthly quota).
Custom instructions
Set the emphasis, restrictions and style in your own words. From the Pro plan.
Informal or formal
Per chatbot, choose whether the bot always uses the informal or the formal form of address, or follows the visitor (for Hungarian and German). Every plan.
Settings history
Every save can be looked up in History, and an earlier state can be restored in one click.
Several chatbots in one account
Each chatbot belongs to one website, with its own branding and knowledge base; the website can be changed later, and the knowledge base then switches to the new site. Your plan sets how many chatbots fit in the account; the Extra chatbot add-on adds more.
Knowledge base
Your website’s pages
We find the sitemap on our own when you create the chatbot and preselect the most important pages that fit your limit; in the customer portal you can change in the sitemap tree at any time which pages it learns from. Page text is read from the downloaded HTML — content that only appears via JavaScript is not visible to the bot.
Watched sections
Put a whole section (for example the /blog pages) on watch: on refresh its new pages are added automatically and deleted pages are removed — up to your plan’s page allowance.
Documents
PDF, DOCX, TXT and Markdown, up to 10 MB per file — price lists, information sheets, terms.
Shared and own material
The account’s knowledge base is shared by your chatbots; in addition, each chatbot can have its own documents, product feed and glossary. Per chatbot you choose whether it also uses the shared material or answers only from its own.
Refreshing
Sync can be started manually in every plan (with a daily limit per chatbot); weekly automatic refresh from the Pro plan. New pages that appear in the sitemap are added automatically (can be switched off per chatbot), ones that no longer exist are removed, unchanged ones are not processed again. If a source fails to process, we email you.
Webshop module
A HUF 9,900 + VAT monthly add-on to any plan; it can be switched on once the plan is paid (not during the trial).
Product feed or product pages
Google Merchant XML, CSV or TSV feed (up to 150,000 products), or the structured data of your product pages.
Exact product search
Filtering by price range, brand, category, stock and other attributes, with sorting — a database query, not guesswork.
Product cards
Image, name, price and product page link from your catalogue; the shopper is on the product page in one click.
Glossary
Teach it your own terms (for example that “puppy” means products for young dogs); you can also ask for AI suggestions.
Catalogue in the portal
See the feed status (processing, last successful sync, error message), refresh it manually, and browse your products with image, price and stock.
Leads
Human handoff
If the visitor asks for an appointment, a quote or a person, the bot offers the contact form right away; if there is no answer, it first assesses the need with a question or two. It asks for contact details and emails you a four-to-six-sentence summary — with the link of the page where the visitor asked. From the Start plan.
Contact details from the conversation
You get a summary even if the visitor writes their email or phone number in the conversation instead of the form. From the Start plan.
Leads in the portal
All leads in one place, with automatic qualification (what they are interested in, whether they want a quote, how urgent it is), with CSV download.
Statistics and reports
Widget statistics
Per chatbot, for 7 or 30 days: how often the widget loaded, how many opened it, started a conversation and left contact details. Breakdown by device, source (UTM) and page from the Pro plan.
Monthly overview
On the account’s home page in every plan: impressions, conversations, leads, the trend of recent months, the most common topics and the month’s leads.
Reading conversations
Every conversation can be read within the retention period, with automatic labels and topics; filter by chatbot, period and topic, and download the filtered list as CSV or TXT.
Knowledge gaps
What the bot found no answer to — and you can fill the gap yourself with a short answer in the knowledge base. From the Pro plan.
Monthly summary
At the start of every month, after our team’s review, written for business owners: how many leads and quote requests it brought, which products and services people asked about most, what had no answer, what held them back, and how this changed over the previous months — with suggestions. From the Pro plan.
Weekly email
Every Monday to the account owners: number of conversations and leads, answer rate, the most common and the new unanswered topics. From the Start plan.
Account and billing
Free trial
Your first account can be tried free for 14 days, without a card — or you start with a plan right away.
Team
The account owner invites colleagues by email; members manage the chatbots and the knowledge base, the plan and billing belong to the owner.
Sign in your way
With a password, your Google account or a sign-in link sent by email; “Remember me” keeps you signed in for 30 days. You can also protect your account with two-step verification (an authenticator app).
Self-service billing
Change plan and billing cycle in the customer portal (upgrades immediately, paying the difference), add-ons, card payment on the SimplePay page, automatic invoices, invoice downloads in the portal, cancellation at the end of the paid period.
Quota alerts
We email you at 80 and 100 percent of the monthly conversation quota. There are no overage fees: when the quota runs out, no new conversation starts, and the quota resets the next month.
Privacy
No tracking
The widget sets no cookies and stores no IP address or browser fingerprint; the visitor is identified by a signed, expiring session identifier.
Real deletion
Conversations are kept for 60, 90 or 180 days depending on your plan, then permanently deleted; the account owner can delete earlier. You can also close the account yourself in the portal: 30 days later the chatbots, the knowledge base and the conversations are permanently deleted too.
Separated storage
A separate knowledge base per customer, on servers in Germany; the widget only appears on your own website.
